When somebody
loves you,
not anybody,
but that one
somebody,
everything seems
alright.
Even the wrongs
are now okay
because
they led you
to this right.
There is deep
understanding
where there
used to be
nothing at all,
nothing good
anyway.
Now when you cry
it’s with an
irresistible smile,
and the salt tastes good
on your tongue,
somehow manages to
take the sting
out of that bitterness
that you’ve been
spitting out
at everyone.
Knowing it was wrong,
but not why.
Now it’s so obvious,
it was because they
were not you
and I was not I.
