I watched you
take your self back
from who you
allowed yourself to become.
I saw you walk all along
in dignified grace,
and when you took back
your freedom,
I smelled the
scent of lavender,
of the fresh winds
playing in your hair,
felt the sun
sparkle in your eyes,
heard your power
rumble like thunder
as your smile shone
like blue skies.
You thanked me
for the inspiration
but at most
I was a catalyst,
grateful for participation.
In your transfiguration,
I was but a witness.
