My vision clearer
after the sunset.
No shadows
and no glaring.
No skies
like melting
pastel candlewax
to find me
fixed and staring.
In the night
your light alone
guides my way.
I am drawn
to the flicker
of your flame.
Here in the dream
I know where
to find you
always,
and so
I wish to remain.
For I was but
a moth,
in truth,
flitting about
in absolute dark.
Until you breathed
your life in me,
until you shared
your heart.
