I was constricted,
encapsulated in self
buried by the dirt

I struggled to breathe
raged against the binding husk
then light shined on me

so I put down roots
and shot up through the surface
where I stretched myself

my bliss unfolded
and I blossomed into me
who I really am

no matter what else is true
this is who I truly am.
