I’ve had enough of crisises,
Hunger, disease, atrocities.
Please guide me to a Shangri-la
where I can seek my Nirvana.
To meditate on a higher existence
where love is welcomed without resistance.
A journey that leads to inner self,
a life lived fully, and deeply felt
by all who share this mortal plane.
This world seems to have gone insane.
Fame achieved for all the wrong reasons,
weather occurring out of its season,
water, water everywhere, but there.
Fires, factories befoul the air.
I often wonder if anyone cares,
and how we manage not to despair.
Are we distracted by the nonsense,
from an overwhelming crisis of conscience?
