You glide in
off the ocean,
my eyes flutter
you brush across
my face
I can taste you
when I lick
my lips.
I sigh
and
breathe you in.
You are just
passing by.
You rise
above me,
climb the mountains
to sweep down
valleys,
funnel through
canyons,
sculpting the earth.
Sometimes howling
or whispering,
sometimes
as still as death.
But you always
bring
life to me,
fill me up.
You are always
with me,
and I need you.
