I’ve walked for days
in shoes worn through,
blisters suppurating,
my tired feet.
Gone to bed
with pangs of hunger,
the only relief
to sleep.
I’ve existed in
society’s shadows,
waded deep into
my failure’s shallows.
Financial gain
my distracted focus,
but spirit’s insistence,
awakened awareness
to the existence
of the gnosis.
An adversarial doppelganger,
the other, selfish self,
frustrating my every
gambit for success,
in terms of material wealth.
Yet despite
unyielding to
I found a path
to a foundation,
for soul’s elevation.
Not resident in
doctrine or book,
but in your heart,
just take a look.
