Reclined on sunbaked dunes,
watching foam fringed curtains
wave in the tidal breeze
that sweeps the sandy shore.
Crests reflect copper sun.
Gulls sail chimneys of air.
Crabs creep crenellations,
as they dig dungeons deep.
And with bucket and pail,
seaweed stripes and starfish,
I feel walls wash away,
melting around my toes.
As an indigo cloud
floats in panorama,
I close my eyes and smile.
